Brand New Kennel Block
Well 6 months of hard work, and a considerable amount of money has seen the completion of the brand new kennel block completed.
Construction
Built from Colorbond steel, and all galvanised metal work. The kennel block, is approximately, 11m x 6m under roof. Sat on reinforced concrete over insulated panels.
Location Location Location
The new kennel block, sits on the western side of 10 lush acres. Taking in views of the surrounding countryside , and enjoying full advantage of the afternoon sea breezes, licking the valley. The kennels have been purposefully designed to appreciate the breezes, and also give the dogs, shade and shelter from the elements.
Facilities
At present all of our dogs have their own kennel pen, with the exception of Bella and Willy who generally share. There are 6 full sized, kennel areas, large enough for 2/3 dogs per pen. With separate runs for each kennel. The all galvanised steel pens, are constructed to allow the dogs to chat, play games, and take advantage of the "arvo breeze". All kennels have separate in and out gates..
Stimulation
We have designed and built the kennels in such a way, that they suit, us and our dogs. We are not a boarding kennels, so we want our dogs to enjoy being with us, and we want to enjoy our time with them. The communal atmosphere and open ness is for a reason. Allowing full integration of people and dogs, with the security and comfort of segragation. The kennels are light bright and airy. Giving the dogs, plenty of room to sprawl out, snore, drool, and paddle in their water !
Perfection?
They say nothing is perfect, but we are extremely happy with our facilities, and it shows in our dogs too. No doubt as time passes, we shall add improve and perhaps extend, but for now and in the near future, the new kennels suit us all perfectly.
